The offer in Eternity sounds simple: protect a wealthy philanthropist for a substantial fee. It becomes a fight to survive in an abandoned hotel, where somebody is prepared to kill both the client and the person protecting him. The interesting complication is that the professor has secrets of his own. Keeping him alive and trusting him are not necessarily the same decision.

That makes Eternity a candidate for readers who like a thriller premise more than a traditional ghost hunt. There is a deliberate enemy running the trap and a client whose history needs investigation. The hotel supplies confinement, but the central question concerns the people involved. The publisher's setup asks the player to consider where their loyalties belong, rather than just to accept the assignment at face value.

The Steam comments consulted here are mixed in a particularly useful way. One player enjoys the unexpected developments. Another likes the artwork and atmosphere but considers parts of the plotting weak and the game too brief. A negative review reports cursor problems, lag and accumulating sound loops despite initially finding the game enjoyable. Those are individual reports, and we have not tested either store build, so they should not be presented as confirmed universal faults.

They do change what to look for in a trial. Test a sequence of interactions and listen for repeated sound errors instead of stopping as soon as the main menu works. For a game built around a threatening hotel, reliable audio is part of the experience. Reading a customer's report does not tell us whether your computer will reproduce it, but ignoring the report would leave out material buying information.

Steam lists a bonus chapter about the Eternity Project, collectible masks, a secret room and a puzzle collection in the Collector's Edition. The project-focused chapter is the extra most closely connected to the central mystery. Optional collecting will matter more to a player who enjoys revisiting scenes. Neither should distract from confirming that the version you choose runs properly.

Our recommendation is conditional. The protection assignment and questionable client give Eternity a clear identity, and it may suit readers who want a confined thriller with hidden-object tasks. The customer reports make it a game to test before buying rather than purchase on premise alone. If operation is stable and the opening intrigue appeals, compare editions for the additional project story. If it is unstable, the promise of a clever twist is not a good reason to spend the evening fighting the software.
