Big Fish describes it as a psychological thriller and explicitly warns that it is intended for an older audience. That matters more than the familiar hidden-object label. This is a poor choice for someone looking for a harmless haunted-house background while they relax.

The sensible reason to choose this entry is curiosity about Ravenhearst itself. A sequel that changes the perspective on earlier events can be rewarding when the people and place already mean something. For a newcomer, the same premise is a reason to consider the preceding Ravenhearst games first. The publisher's description assumes an existing relationship with the story rather than introducing an entirely unrelated detective assignment.

There is also a practical issue. Among the Steam customer comments checked for this article, one player enjoyed the game but reported repeated freezes and red-screen problems. Another praised its puzzles and dark mood. Those reactions should stay separate. An interesting adventure can still be a frustrating purchase when it does not behave on a particular computer.
