Adventure mode, the beefiest choice in terms of content, offers a solid 50 levels of excitement spread across five locations including tropical beaches and snazzy hotels. Alternately, you can always race against time (happily served customers add extra seconds to the clock, those who leave subtract them) in the satisfying Free Play or Crazy modes. (The latter of which picks different upgrades for you each time...) So no matter how you slice it, you're definitely getting good value for the money.

All of which leads to the natural verdict that Cathy's Caribbean Club is a natural winner, especially as spring breezes start to finally fill the air. A lot of this strange and beautiful puzzle game is getting a feel for how the ball moves. When you first start out, just play some practice rounds until you are comfortable with how it feels.

When you first fire the ball, it's going pretty fast. Sometimes if you fire it into an area of the screen which contains a lot of orange pegs, it will bounce right on out and somewhere else. Try bouncing the ball off another area INTO the populated section. It will be going slower and at a better angle to hit more pegs.

Many of the levels have moving pegs. Sometimes it can be frustrating waiting for the perfect moment for your shot. If you click the right mouse button time will speed up and you get the pegs where you want them faster.

The game does not have a timer, so take it slow and time each shot you make. Look at where you are firing and try to predict how the ball will react.

Orange pegs are key so make sure you hit at least one with every shot. Try and make it so the first peg you hit is orange when you can. This is especially true once you have cleared out much of the level already. If you don't hit all the orange pegs, you have to start all over!

Aim high! Early in levels, try and go for orange pegs higher up because gravity will help your ball take out more pegs the higher up you fire.

The bucket is fantastic for extra points and bonus balls. Before you fire any shot, check where you think it will fall... time your shot so you have the best chance at making it into the bucket.

If there are no orange pegs you can reach because they are all blocked, try and clear the way down to them by bouncing you ball off the blocking pegs and into the bucket. You don't use up any lives and you clear the way down. This can take a lot of practice to get good at.

The purple peg changes all the time. Use this whenever you can to rack up tons of points. Wait until it is in a densely packed area and go to town on those defenseless pegs for huge combo points.

After you complete the adventure mode, all the characters are unlocked and you can start on the challenges. Each character has their own unique power. Here is a list of each one:

Bjorn
He will show you which way your ball will bounce before you fire it.

Jimmy Lightning
Jimmy will give you a multi-ball powerup.

Kat Tut
Kat will add an ancient pyramid onto the bucket making it easier to get in.

Splork
Splork's powerup will ignite all the surrounding pegs.

Claude
Claws appear and act like a pinball machine for added control.

Renfield
Your ball turns into a Spooky Ball and will reappear at the top of your screen after falling out the bottom.

Tula
When you activate Tula's powerup, 20% of all the remaining orange pegs will be lit.

Warren
Warren will give you a spin on his lucky wheel for a chance at a triple score, a magic homing hat, an extra ball, or any random powerup from someone else.

Lord Cinderbottom
The Lord has a hot temper. His power is a massive fireball that can plow through every peg it comes across.

Master Hu
With Master Hu's powerup, your next shot will have the power of Zen control and it will bounce in the best way possible.

Dogs sniffing out pirate copies.

Two dogs trained in Northern Ireland are getting a break in the movie business, by sniffing out pirates.

Female black Labradors, Flo and Lucky, are being used by the authorities in Malaysia in the battle against music and film rip-offs.

They are believed to be the first dogs in the world trained to sniff the chemicals used to make optical disks.

The three-year-old animals - trained by a handler in Northern Ireland who usually teaches dogs to find bombs - can find, but cannot distinguish between, CDs and DVDs, burned and replicated disks, or legitimate and pirate disks.

The dogs take only 10 minutes to check boxes that security officials would have needed a day to examine.

"It's cost-effective, and in terms of time, it's very effective too," said Domestic Trade Minister Shafie Apdal, said.

When walking, your character always faces the cursor, so half the time you're facing backwards. It doesn't affect the gameplay, it just feels strange. It also feels limiting not to be able to fire the grappling gun downwards.

Regardless of the small control inconveniences, Frost Bite is a fulfilling action game continuing Nitrome's tradition of good looking games.

Hello guys! Here is our tips and tricks for Fairy Godmother Tycoon game.

First of all, make sure you have the latest version: get it here

You'll have to master the concepts of supply and demand, and of buying low and selling high. The in-game tutorial does a pretty good job of explaining the basics of how to play, but if you want to win then check out our tips & tricks:

The First Turns in Fairy Godmother Tycoon
You start each level with a small amount of money. Before your first turn begins, here's how you should spend it:
1. Buy 15-20 of each available ingredient.
2. Upgrade your storefront once (This is the equivalent to free advertising, and also makes peasants slightly happier to be there).
3. Pay for the third tier of advertising: Flying Monkeys (Anything less won't really get you the foot traffic you need).
4. Invest enough money in research so that you have between 10 and 15 days left to your next potion discovery.

Managing inventory
To avoid running out of potions during the day, keep a base level of ingredients stocked at all times. This should be around 20 during the early part of the game, but as you start to earn more customers and research new potions you'll find that it needs to increase to 60, 80, 100 or more to keep up with demand.

Be smart about restocking. If each potion calls for 1 Fish Head and 2 Eyes of Newt and you estimate needing 20 potions in total, then you need to stock 20 Fish Heads and 40 Eyes of Newt. If you can only afford to buy 20 Eyes of Newt, there's no point in buying more than 10 Fish Heads because the extras won't be usable.

The exception to the above rules is when potions go on sale. When a potion's price appears in green, it has been significantly reduced. You should stock up on reduced price potions whenever they appear - don't worry about all the money you're spending up front because you'll make it back by not having to restock the potion (and pay full price) for several subsequent turns.

Maintaining a minimum stock of ingredients and splurging on reduced price ingredients when they pop up means you'll hopefully never find yourself in the position of having to pay for ingredients when they're overpriced (indicated by a price in red).

Research
Deciding how much to spend on research is a tricky balancing act. If competing stores discover a spell before you do, then they have a significant advantage because they can now provide a service to customers that you can't. You'll have to turn away customers who want the new potion, losing money and customer satisfaction in the process.

On the other hand, spending too much on research early on can quickly sink your business because it's a daily expense that generates no daily income in return (unlike advertising, which brings new customers, or ingredients which create potions to sell).

It will typically take the competition 12-15 days to research a new spell, so adjust your spending to match that. Ideally you should spend between $20 to $50 per day on research - certainly no less, and perhaps slightly more only if you can afford it after you've spend a few turns establishing an ebb and flow of steady income.

Pricing
At the beginning of the game, it's more important to make money to invest back into the business rather than making customers like you, so don't lowball yourself when it comes to setting prices for potions. (At the same time, don't make your prices so insultingly high that customers storm off in a huff.)

To that end, never sell potions for less than the minimum recommended price, which is found on the Pricing tab. When you scroll over a potion in the Pricing tab, the TIP window below will display the recommended market value as something like $40 - $70. This means to sell at $40 when demand is low, and crank the price up to a maximum of $70 when demand is high.
